Cleaning materials (peroxides under kitchen sink)

Guests anywhere in the house, including any who are elderly, disabled or very young

Risk from cooking; risk from candles (rarely lit); no smoking allowed on premises

Fire can spread through the house, or from attached cottage, although cottages are brick-built.

Fire blanket by hob
Fire extinguishers on two upper floors
Interlinked smoke alarms with 3 year batteries fitted on landings

Most doors will self-close (need to be propped open). Pivot (escape) windows fitted in all rooms - all big enough to climb out of, except in bathrooms/WCs
All internal glass fire-proff and shatter proof
All furnishings meet fire standards
